Amarillo Poet/Author Charles W. Williams has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. The tumor was discovered early last week and at this time it is unknown if the tumor is malignant.

Charles sought medical attention after noticing a change in his speech pattern.  His normal fluid speech became labored, Charles described his thought process as scattered during his telephone conversation with North Amarillo Now.  The words are in my head but I’m having a hard time getting them out (speaking) says Charles; I’m making preparations to seek further medical attention in Dallas.

Charles first book “Images of Life” was well received within the Amarillo community upon its release in October of 2006. Since that time Charles has released two other publications “Storyteller” and “Manchild Book” the latter he dedicated to the memory of Trayvon Martin.
