City Seeks Help in Prioritizing Community Needs
Amarillo, TX – The City of Amarillo’s Community Development office is asking for your help to develop the 5-Year Consolidated Housing and Community Development Plan. Citizens are invited to participate in a brief online survey ranking their neighborhood’s needs for facilities and services.
“We need your input to understand the problems, indentify solutions and prioritize funding,” says Community Development Administrator James Allen. “Public input is vital to developing a successful 5-year plan.”
Because the Community Development Department has limited funding available to address housing and community development needs, participants will be asked to rank the categories by priority. Those priorities include parks, community services, homelessness, housing, economic development and public improvements.
The survey is online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/8P38HWM. You may pick up a hard copy of the survey at City Hall, 509 S.E. 7th Street, Room 104 and all five Amarillo Public Library locations. The City of Amarillo would like to thank you in advance for your valuable input.
Note: Please forward this to any citizens of Amarillo.
