To Vote or Not to Vote?

That is the question as March 6, 2018 draws nigh—in primaries all across the country. In 2016 there were 231,556,622 registered voters in America. 46.9 percent, or well over 100 million people did not bother to vote for either Clinton or Trump. For those who did not vote, they are now being represented by an insane clown running a circus act out of the Oval Office.

Even with the disaster that non-voting produced in the 2016 presidential election, many people still pooh-pooh voting with the attitude that their vote won’t make any difference anyway—that elected official get into office and do what they damn well please. This is especially true for the current occupant of the Oval Office who conned his way into getting people to vote against their own interest. But the one interest that the current occupant of the Oval Office never bothered to explain to all “Make America Great” chants was that his sole interest in the White House was self enrichment. He also never bothered to tell all those “The Jews Will Never Replace Us” neo-Nazis , that his very orthodox Jewish son-in-law, Jared Kushner, with a Son of Sam, Cheshire Cat, catch me if you can, grin on his face, would be allowed, without proper security clearance, into the inner circle of government’s highly classified information in order to take notes on how to further himself and the entire Trump Klan. And so, voting for Trump turned out to be a vote for the most corrupt president in American history—rife with collusion to sell America to the Russians in exchange for tampering with the electoral process—and worst, hiring the most unqualified, corrupt people to surround him as he set out to plunder and destroy America.

Understandably, many people have grown cynical and jaded about American “democracy.” America is careening into the realm of third world regimes—of the Idi Amin sort—all in the name of Trumpism. Who would be surprised that many voters have kissed voting goodbye—with the very understandable attitude of “let them do whatever the hell they want to do.” And this is precisely the “divide, confuse, and destroy” attitude that the Trump bunch set out to engender. The whole point of voter suppression, “fake news,” and the Fox News propaganda machine is to confuse and obfuscate voters to the point where they throw up their hands –with an “I don’t know what to believe” attitude and refuse to vote. When Trump joked recently that he “loves chaos” he is finally telling the truth about who he really is. In fact his nomination speech forewarned us of his “doom and gloom,” “chaos in our streets,” mentality. What he failed to say was that he would be the chief instigator of the very chaos we are now witnessing, including the mess going on all around him in the Oval Office. And now, this clown act wants to be “president for life.” How about trying to be a decent president for a day—or a week?

To vote or not to vote. Vote. Vote. Vote. We cannot afford to stick our heads in the sand, totally demoralized by a buffoon named Donald Trump who represents at most, the worst example of a human being in human history. Vote. Do not be dissuaded from exercising your right to correct a grievous wrong committed by Trump’s collusion with Putin. Your vote is your voice of participation in your country. Those who do not vote have no right to complain. Vote for the lives of your children. Vote for human existence to continue on a planet where clean air is a priority and not the almighty dollar. No, Trump is not on the ballot for the March 6th primaries, but the taint of his rabid existence is being infused into candidates for local and state office. Vote. Again, I say vote.
