Palo Duro Dons Rise Up Like the Phoenix Bird

Palo Duro Dons Rise Up Like the Phoenix Bird
by Anthony A. Moore

Well sports fans the Palo Duro Dons Rise from the ashes like the Mythical Phoenix Bird. Yes we have a WIN !!! Just slap me to tears. To the PD young men and Coaches with a few reserves for Coach Parr “Great Job”. The Dons defeated a good Canyon team with heart, determination, and fight. The team actually brought with them “Hard Wood”. To get a win makes you feel good helps motivation for the next game and pulls our community closer together.

This is about Tradition and Character last week four outstanding young PD football players Rockkeem Carey, Joe Torres,

Luis Hernandez and Idarius Ray volunteered their only weekday afternoons provided it was free from practice to mentor children and clean up areas during the Hamlet take back our neighborhood meeting.

Coach Parr should be proud of these young men wanting to give back to their community in the right way. I know we all are proud of them.

Can someone please inform Coach Parr to read our website one time so at least these four great young men get some sort of recognition?

The pressure is on this week the PD Dons travel to Coach Parr’s stomping grounds Plainview. This game will and can change the future of our season and team.

The Bulldogs play the Palo Duro Dons in a 4A Region I District 3 battle, on Friday, October 1st in Plainview. The Bulldogs will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Dons go into the battle with a 1-3 record after their 28-12 league win over (Canyon, Eagles ).

Well with such talented RB’s (I’ve kinda Nicknamed) Ty Hicks (Romp-Em) , Denzel Everhart (Trump-Em), Michael Patterson (Stomp-Em) and Jeffery Daily (Thump-Em) the Dons look forward to a unstoppable and rewarding night.

However remember Dons the Bulldogs will possibly be up for this game because there motivation will be “Beat The Pants off the Dons and We Beat Ex- Bulldog Coach Steve Parr” So Dons as you hid down to Bulldog country I have but one thing to say.

“Nic Nac Patty Wack Don’t Give Those Bulldogs One Bone”

Send them packing to the dog house as they should because they got hit in their mouths with “Hard Wood”.
